STEP 1: Check to ensure that the silicone you are treating isn't damaged or coming away from the wall. This has been the primary issue when the gel hasn't worked as in these instances, mould has gotten in behind the silicone. The gel requires direct contact with the mould to be effective. If your silicone is damaged, it must be replaced to protect your bathroom from water damage.

STEP 2: The second most common issue we have come across is where there is a T like join where a shower screen is connected to the wall. In this instance there is a line of silicone on both sides of the join. We have experienced a number of occasions where the gel was unable to treat the mould in the join as it was growing in the area between the wall and the glass. Once again, as the gel was unable to have direct contact with the mould it was unable to remove it.

STEP 3: Finally, its important you check that that the stains you are treating are in fact mould and mildew. Our product will not remove stains caused by rust, bacterial infections, stains caused by bathroom products such as shampoo etc.
